Like Mike Tyson said, "Everybody has a plan 'till they get hit in the mouth." The Rams stole Michael Brockers, the Bengals stole Dre Kirkpatrick, and the Steelers stole David DeCastro. We took a few punches and cowered in our corner trading back twice for questionable compensation but now we've got to come out swinging in Round 2.
We still have the same needs: DT>CB>RB>C>OT>WR>ILB>OLB>QB
Round 2 Pick #36: Denver Broncos select Janoris Jenkins, CB, Northern Alabama
Janoris Jenkins has 4 kids by 3 women, he smokes reefer, and he's by far the best impact player left in the draft. We need to replace Champ Bailey eventually and this is the only guy I can see who is up to the task. It's time to take a risk and get a play maker.
Round 2 Pick #57: Denver Broncos select Brandon Thompson, DT, Clemson
I'm more than fine with passing on Jerel Worthy, Devon Still, and Kendall Reyes at #36 if we can get Brandon Thompson at #57. Thompson isn't a sack machine but he doesn't have to be with guys like Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller as teammates.
Round 3 Pick #87: Denver Broncos select Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State
We brought Robert Turbin in for a private visit and I love him at #87. He's a great running back and he's very productive in the passing game.
Round 4 Pick #101: Denver Broncos select Joe Adams, WR, Arkansas
We need a replacement for Eddie Royal and while T.Y. Hilton is my ideal prospect I doubt he's available. Joe Adams is a perfect slot receiver and would be an excellent compliment to Demarius Thomas and Eric Decker.
Round 4 Pick #108: Denver Broncos select Philip Blake, C, Baylor
We need depth at the offensive line and I think Philip Blake could actually take the starting spot from J.D. Walton. Blake is a mauler with a nasty streak, just our type of guy.
Round 4 Pick #120: Denver Broncos select Ryan Lindley, QB, San Diego State
Ryan Lindley has prototypical size, a good arm, and needs time to develop. A perfect fit as our future franchise quarterback.
Round 5 Pick #137: Senio Kelemete, G, Washington
For some reason NFLDraftScout.com has Senio Kelemete ranked 165th overall even though he was the primary reason Chris Polk had such a good year. He can step in for Chris Kuper until he's fully healed.
Round 6 Pick #188: Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State
We brought this kid in for a private visit and while I'm not his biggest fan I do think he's got some potential and represents even more much needed depth.
There you have it fellas, tell me what you think and what you would change. GO BRONCOS!!!
