We will support and cheer for you regardless if we wanted you as our pick.
Several people seem to think we left better players on the board and overdrafted some of our players. The truth is we won't know for two or three years. I thought Darcel McBath and David Bruton should've been cut a couple seasons ago, but they've developed in the core special teams players, and did okay when pressed into duty last season. I thought Rahim Moore was a surefire ball hawk and was happy when we selected him, but his rookie season turned out to be a bust. That doesn't mean that he is a bust, but the clock is ticking. Hopefully EFX still has a few tricks up their sleeves, to get us over the hump and assure an AFC West crown if not home-field advantage for the playoffs. All in all, I'd say the team is improved dramatically this off-season, which is all you can hope for from your front office. How dramatic that improvement is remains to be seen, but I'll take the exact same defense last season and the exact same offense with Peyton Manning at the helm and I feel pretty good about our chances. I think Wolfe can be better than Bunkley, especially in the pass rushing phase of the game. I hope, veteran players get released and are willing to accept less pay to join a contender and mentor some of the young players we have on defense. Is James Farrior still under contract. The old MLB for the Steelers? He would be the exact type of player I want to bring in. Possibly another aging veteran safety in the mold of John Lynch or Brian Dawkins, should another savvy old veteran become available. Go Broncos!
