Julius Thomas Has Surgery to Repair Ankle

The Timing on this really sucks. I wonder why this wasn't done sooner like right at end of the Season? He's going to miss some time now and probably not be able to fully participate in off-season conditioning, OTAs & Mini-Camps. The article does not explain why he waited so long to have this done. There's also an article in the Denver Post which doesn't say much more: The surgery, according to Thomas' father, Greg, was done in Charlotte, N.C., by noted ankle-foot surgeon Dr. Robert Anderson. Thomas will work with the Broncos' medical and training staff in the coming weeks and is a question mark for the opening of training camp.
