Short and sweet people.... short and sweet. This is my attempt at a guess who the final 53 will be, including the Practice Squad. As it stands now, we need to figure something out with Ty Warren (c'mon big fella... you're enough of a vet to know you have to earn your keep).... and we HAVE to make Matt "the Clutch Cannon" Prater happy. I couldn't picture our Broncs without him. Anyways.... after the jump is my guess at the 53 man roster. If you can't already tell... this is one of the slowest times in the Bronco year.... so, why not?

Offense:

QB: Peyton Manning ~ Caleb Hanie ~ Brock Osweiler (for my dude, KoloradoKaos... no alarms and no surprises, with the QB core at least) ;-)

RB: Willis McGahee ~ Ronnie Hillman ~ Knowshon Moreno ~ Mario Fannin (ehh.... this one is fluid to me. I've heard good arguments as to why Knowshow should get cut.... but he's making nothing this year, he's already been paid, and in a more pass happy O, he could prove very worthy of a roster spot ~ Lance Ball could replace Fannin, but I hope not).

FB: Chris Gronkowski (glad we finally addressed this..... who to cut, who to cut?)

WR: Demaryius Thomas ~ Eric Decker ~ Andre Caldwell ~ Brandon Stokley ~ Gerell Robinson ~ Eric Page (WHAT? 2 UDFA's in the WO core alone? I could see it happening folks.... I really think we had about the best UDFA class out there ~ Matt Willis, Mark Dell, D'Andre Goodwin, and Jason Hill could replace one or two of the guys above, but this is MY list, and I'm sticking with it).

TE: Joel Dreessen ~ Julius Thomas (This is Julius' year, I can feel it)

H-Back: Jacob Tamme

OT: Ryan Clady ~ Orlando Franklin ~ Chris Clark ~ Ryan Harris (I like our Tackle core)

OG: Chris Kuper ~ Zane Beadles ~ Austin Wuebbels (needs work.... needs some major work - hopefully the continuity of this young line will start bearing fruit)

C: J.D. Walton (c'mon I-Hop.... turn it on this year bubby.... we need ya!!!)

OL: Philip Blake (All purpose Lineman)

Defense:

DE: Elvis Dumervil ~ Robert Ayers ~ Jason Hunter ~ Jeremy Beal (not bad.... not bad at all - we need someone to step up as the third edge rusher.... Malik Jackson, Beal.... someone, anyone)

NT: Justin Bannan ~ Sealver Siliga (needs major work, but we shouldn't have drastic falloff with Bannon replacing Bunk..... guys..... I know this is cliche, but Peyton "freakin'" Manning cures a lot of team ills.)

UT: Ty Warren ~ Derek Wolfe (The Big Bad Wolfe is a pleasant start.... but DT overall is a position that will need to be addressed several times in the next few talent pools)

DL: Malik Jackson (I like this kid)

WLB: D.J. Williams ~ Wesley Woodyard ~ Danny Trevathan (I'm confused about what we're going to do with D.J. - I can see both sides of the argument, but I'm leaning towards letting him go to Philly or someone for a 4th/5th - Trevathan, I feel, will have some ability to play anywhere in the Linebacker core)

MLB: Joe Mays ~ Nate Irving (someone here needs to step the F up!)

SLB: Von Miller (Von is a stud... someone needs to step up into the backup role)

CB: Champ Bailey ~ Tracy Porter ~ Drayton Florence ~ Chris Harris ~ Omar Bolden (We improved here immensely this offseason.... I could see us possibly keeping one more such as Syd'Quan or Coryell Judie, if they impress in camp)

FS: Mike Adams ~ Rahim Moore (Rahim Moore needs to show us something.... Adams will surprise people and make it hard for Moore to see action.... oh well).

SS: Quinton Carter ~ David Bruton (I like Carter..... Bruton is a good special teamer..... more talent is needed here, some physical specimens)

Special Teams:

K: Matt Prater (get this man locked up for eternity.... very rarely do you find a kicker with his leg power, but also is clutch and has accuracy as well)

P: Britton Colquitt (I love our young, beast kickers)

LS: Lonie Paxton (I was going to write 3 paragraphs here, until I realized it was Long Snapper... wink, wink.... is this the year 225 lb. Aaron Brewer replaces 270 lb. Paxton??? I doubt it, but ya never know)
