John Elway announced via twitter today that the Broncos have agreed to a deal with the Colts to trade corner back Cassius Vaughn for Colts FB/TE Chris Gronkowski. Elway had this to say about the movie:
Our team has a lot of depth in the secondary and this an opportunity for us to add a quality fullback to our roster.
Gronkowski is a 6'2 240 pound undrafted full back. He was signed by the Cowboys in 2010. He then signed on with the Colts for the 2011 season playing in a full back role for both teams.
He was played 21 games gaining 17 yards on five carries and 35 yards on seven receptions with one touchdown.
Vaughn was a part of a crowded corner back group that will have a lot of competition come training camp. Vaughn was a college free agent in 2010 and had 22 tackles with one pick that he returned for a touchdown.
