If Healthy Defense is Dominant! Warren is a STUD!

Remember, NE traded Richard Seymour (for a 1, worth it too!) to Oakland because they felt Warren was the better player, and had surpassed a slightly aging Seymour. His injuries weren't career threatening. A hip and a torn pectoral muscle. The hip is tricky, but not like a knee. Warren should be 100%

{Should this be a fanshot or fanpost? The differnce?}

I know, I seemed extremely negative in my post about quality and quantity. However, as my last few sentences stated, i was only trying to bring a dose of reality and hoped i didnt seem too hard or down on our players....

But now I'm truly excited. We have a true presence at DT that requires a double team. A DT that needs a DT. We haven't had that since Trevor Pryce, and Pryce is a notch below Warren IMHO. Okay not so humble. But having Warren as a core member drastically improves everything. Mays and Irving will look much better with Warren tying up Olinemen every snap. Wolfe will make a great power end on running downs. All that crap about him not being a stout run defender might, might apply when hes playing DT, but as far a D ends go, He's a huge stout defender.

Dumerville is always going to be a liability against the run because of his size. Even at LB. But Wolfe is defiantly capable of playing an Ayers role on this team. A fresh rotation at DE will kill opposing O tackles. I could easily see Wolfe taking 1st down snaps away from Dumerville. Guaranteed on the goaline. Ayers, Warren, Vick/Bannon,Wolfe could be our regular 1st and 10 down linemen. 3rd & long, or obvious passing situations i see both DT subbed out. Miller,Ayers,Wolfe,Dumerville.

If Malik Jackson can rotate a few snaps to keep everyone fresh, our DLine becomes a strength instead of our Achilles heel. The pass rush should be much improved with more push up the middle. Porter is an upgrade over Goody, and if Chris Harris can replicate his rookie success, CB is improved from last season. Better rush AND better coverage coupled with a heavier Vick, healthy Warren, Pro's pro in Bannon, and a some hungry young guys, and i believe the run D has improved as well. No doubt Warren is better than Bunkley. The LB corps is the biggest question mark on the team now. Bruton seemed to have a light go on near the end of the season and Carter did too. Adams provides the new Veteran presence to QB the secondary. Champ does his thing. All we need is a decent veteran LB to add in case DJ can't go. Im not sold on a rookie 5th round back up playing behind Woodyard to start the season. Mike Mohammed is an unknown. No cuts yet? I thought June 1 was supposed to spur activity? No calls or visits for Thomas yet? Bring him back.
