Let Manning play HIS kind of game!

Great win for Denver!

Congratulations to all Denver fans. It looks to be a great season for you guys. As a Colt's fan we are obviously a few years out. However, as a Manning fan I am excited to watch Denver this year. That being said, Fox has got to let Peyton play the Manning way.

Vanilla play calling, taking a knee with 28 seconds left in the half - this is not Manning ball and it can cost you. I have watched Peyton play in Indy for years. 28 seconds is an eternity for him. I have heard more than one NFL coach admit that Peyton knows more about football than most coaches in the league. Fox needs to let him take the game over.

That knee at the end of the half told me that this coaching staff does not quite realize yet what they have. That may be pre-Manning era Denver ball but you will give up, at the very least, 3 points every time.

The coaches need to run their defense, create a playbook and then just unleash Peyton. "An offensive coordinator needs to leave his ego at the door where Manning is concerned." These are the words of the great Tom Moore. He also said that you just need to give Peyton a play book and let him go to work. No arm band with a list of plays, no constant barking out plays in his ear. Just work to create a game plan and let him execute it to perfection on game day.

I really hope as the season goes on that Fox and company realize they have a QB that they may have even underestimated. That they will feel more and more comfortable to turn this offense over to his capable hands. When they do, 28 seconds =TD!
