All of this talk about how great our defense is scares me. How good are we really??? It's been one week. We played very well against Big Ben and Co., but Roethlisberger didn't look that sharp to me. Sure he kept some plays alive with his ability to avoid the rush and get outside the pocket and finding the open guy. However where he failed to impress was in the red zone. Besides that laser to Wallace (the td where if that throw is off by the smallest margin Porter makes a play, the coverage was that good) he missed some WR's where if he makes even an average throw it would've resulted in six. Rodgers, Brady, Brees, those guys all would have made those throws. Realistically I think we are a top 12-15 defense. Best case scenario? Probably a top 10 defense. Let's get through this first half of this juggernaut of a schedule and then see where we are at.
However the run D was impressive and if they can continue to stuff the run we'll be able to set doom and gloom loose. Either way looking forward for the test the Falcons should give us in the dome.
