September 15, 1986 - The Broncos traveled to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. Denver took the lead on a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 21-yard QB John Elway to WR Steve Watson pass, and never looked back. The score became 7-3 in the third, only to see Elway hit RB Steve Sewell with a 34-yard touchdown pass. The Steelers made it 14-10 in the fourth quarter, but Elway hit RB Sammy Winder with a 13-yard touchdown pass to give the Broncos a 21-10 victory.

Why is this significant? This win raised the Broncos record versus the Steelers, in September to 3-0-1 and 8-4-1 overall to that date. The 31-19 Manning-led victory on September 9, 2012, raised the Broncos record versus the Steelers in September to 4-0-1.
