September 18, 2011, Denver hosted the Cincinnati Bengals. The Broncos led 7-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and 10-3 at the half. Denver built the lead to 17-3 before the Bengals erupted for 12 points in the third quarter (two field goals and a touchdown (a 2-point conversion failed)) to make the score 17-15. The Broncos iced the game when QB Kyle Orton connected with WR Eric Decker for a 52-yard touchdown pass and the defense held off the Bengals with just one more Cincinnati touchdown.
