Coach John Fox announced that today, G/C Philip Blake has been placed on the IR with a thumb injury, ending his rookie season with the Broncos. The Broncos activated C.J Davis from the practice squad to the active roster, and added G/T Adam Grant to the practice squad to replace Davis.

Blake, the 108th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, in the 4th round, will compete for a roster spot in 2013. C.J Davis who was with the Broncos throughout the offseason will take over for Blake as depth at G/C. Adam Grant, who was also with the Broncos throughout the season as well serves as depth on the Practice Squad. The addition of Dan Koppen looks even better right now though.
