First Bronco Fans, DO NOT PANIC. We lost to a good football team on the road. Home teams win in the NFL. Last weekend only 3 road teams won. Second, we did not fold. Third this is not Peyton's first bad game all great QB's have some of those. But none of those thing are what I want to discuss. Please notice I said discuss all of this is my opinion based on my 20 plus years of coaching, but all coaches including myself are wrong plenty of the time. However, I have not seen the points I want to talk about discussed at much length. So lets get some talking points after the break.

First Peyton's picks and why they occurred. I don't think Peyton was fooled by the initial coverage but actually by the safety's reactions. Here is what I mean. Normally safeties try to stay about 8 yards deeper than the deepest receiver on their half or third of the field. When a QB sees that there is cover 2 or a 4 man umbrella the safeties keep dropping leaving a void up the seam. All three of Peyton's interceptions came up the right seam. The falcons safeties were squatting at about 30 yards. Instead of continuing to get depth. They were not worried about the long say 50 yard throw to the outside. This could be very dangerous if Peyton can burn them deep to the outside of the hash. He has not yet attempted to make that type of throw yet this season and that is what the Falcons were banking on. It will work for one game. I don't expect it to happen again. and I do believe Peyton can make that throw. Let me know what you think.

Second The two calls that cost the Broncos 14 points. I have watched the replay of Knowshon's fumble several times. I can't see a Falcon even close to the ball. Franklin says he had the ball the entire time. I believe him and we were driving deep into Falcons territory. That might of cost us points and perhaps a touchdown. The second was the phantom PI call on Carter. Even the announcers said there was nothing there. That play was on a 3rd and long Falcons would have had to punt. They went on to score a TD on that drive. Yes we got some very bad calls in our favor but to me the two most outrageous we the two I mentioned. What are your thoughts?

What's Wrong with Elvis. Evils has been a non factor in both game, which would be fine if he was drawing a double team, but Atlanta blocked him 1 on 1 the entire game and he was not a factor. I also saw no different moves from him at all just a bull/speed rush. He must start earning his big salary. He is playing the run better this year but run stoppers don't get his salary.
