I'll Be Patient...For Now

We've just played some top tier teams in the Falcons & Texans and lost both of them but we didn't get blown out. Props to all the players in all 3 Phases for not giving up.

It's quite obvious we need to do a better job on 3rd downs on both sides: Convert on offense & Stop on defense. Easier said than done against some very good teams, and I expect this team to get better as the Season progresses.

I didn't get to see the game against the Texans due to work, but did listen to it...I'll have a better feel for it when I watch it on Rewind.

I think we need to keep in mind that the Offense is new as is the Defense. New QB & though he's headed to the HOF, he's still feeling out his WRs, TEs, & RBs...It doesn't help that Manny Ramirez is Kuper's backup...We need Kupe back in a big way as he's one of the nastiest Guards in the League and can pancake most DLmen.

On Defense, there still seems to be some mis-communication amongst the secondary and this needs to get fixed...We also gave up too many running yards: 152 to our 59...I am still of the opinion that losing Warren was a huge blow to this defense & we haven't as yet solve that problem. We have some promising rookies in Wolfe & Jackson, but they are very raw and undeveloped.

I think we have some very smart guys running this Org. and they will get most of the problems fixed, and I expect the Broncos to win the Division, though I am not sure we will get deep in the Post-Season. I also think it will take another year for the Broncos to really scare the opposition and I'm willing to be patient as long as I see improvement. This is essentially a new team and we simply cannot expect positive results overnight.
