After Stewing for 36 Hours

After stewing for 36 hours after the Sunday night loss, the last thing I want to do is state the obvious. Penalties, turnovers, Holliday, Hillman, and no calls all added up to huge disappointment. I so wanted Peyton to make Irsay eat his words but that wasn't in the cards.

Two third and 1's in the first quarter and we don't convert on either? Come on Fox. I thought the play calling not just on these two but throughout the game was poor. Nobody is taking credit for the genius move of giving Hillman the ball on the goal line. This has to be the stupidest call of the year!

When asked yesterday in his press conference about Hillman's ball security issues, Fox replied that every good back in the league has a couple of fumbles. He was almost defiant in his response which pisses me off. This turnover was the worst because it was preventable. The probability of Hillman fumbling had to 50% or higher. Moreno or even Ball would have been a much better option. And I am not a rules expert, but the Decker end zone play sure looked good to me. I think our coach is making some seriously poor decisions and to make things worse the chip on his shoulder seems to be getting bigger the further we get through what could and should be a magical Denver Bronco season.
