Seriously. Fans of BOTH our teams know the other team so well it's almost ludicrous. I mean honestly, are there REALLY any Broncos fans out there who DON'T know the Chiefs players, the story, the year in review and the latest news? (Looks around and waits). Right then, on with it!
By now we all know that both teams lost over the weekend, ensuring that fans of both teams will continue to attempt to break the internet with rants and second guessing from now til gametime on Sunday. What nobody REALLY knows, of course, is how either team will respond to their respective last-minute losses. As of now, perhaps the biggest questions to be answered are on the Chiefs side, with the injuries to linebackers Tamba Hali and Justin Houston. Will either of them play? If not, who fills in for the Chiefs? Will the Chiefs try to pressure Peyton Manning, or will they lay back and hope for coverage?
Oh yeah, plenty of questions for both teams. Will Manning's ankle be fully healed by the playoffs? Will Andy Reid ever stop having to answer questions about a timeout call? Will the Chiefs be able to stop Knowshon Moreno? Will the Broncos be able to stop Charles? Will Don's Tavern (723 E 6th Ave, Denver, CO) supply me with free beer? Does Alex Smith have his mojo back? Is Champ Bailey really going to play Safety for the Broncos?
Ok, so I was wrong. Seems we have more than enough questions about these teams. With any luck, at least SOME of them will be resolved this coming Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Others, of course, will have to wait awhile. Meantime, can't we all just get along? And if not, let's at least try to fake it, ok? Here's to yet another hard hitting, entertaining, injury-free (we hope!) game and may the team that scores the most points win!
