Justin Edmonds

Hello folks, back to the grind! Here are the 1st quarter alignments and numbers along the defensive front. The Broncos only used three different fronts, their "Under", some traditional 4-3, and finally some 3-2-6 Dime.

I apologize for not catching snap 14, the all-22 panned into the defense after the snap. Hard for me to decipher.

The Broncos used Von Miller more as a traditional LB. Here you can see him lined up off TE Josh Reed who is split to the right. On this play, Miller floats back to the hasmark in zone eyeing RGIII.

Pretty standard on passing downs, 3-2 alignment. I predicted extensive use of 3-3-5 against RGIII and this is just another version with a safety in coverage as opposed to Trevathan. The Broncos also brought some exotic fronts/blitzes from this alignment including the always interesting "psycho" front:

Eventually Von rushes from the edge and Ayers twists around to the inside on a stunt.
