Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning Kings of the AFC West

US PRESSWIRE

Since 2012, the Denver Broncos have played 10 divisional games heading into Thursday's contest with the San Diego Chargers. They are a perfect 10-0 and Peyton Manning is a big reason why.

Quick Hits

- 31 points per game scored (310 points) over the course of those 10 meetings

- 16 points per game allowed (164 points)

- 5-0 on the road, average margin of victory: 9 points

- 5-0 at home, average margin of victory: 20 points

- 3 wins over Oakland, average margin of victory: 20 points

- 3 wins over San Diego, average margin of victory: 9 points

- 4 wins over Kansas City, average margin of victory: 15 points

- 7/10 games have been played in November and December

As you can see the Chargers have given us the best games. In fact the last two games have been decided by one score apiece. Thursday figures to be more of the same, especially if our secondary can't pull things together. Besides playing at home, the Broncos also have another decided advantage: Peyton Manning

Manning is completing 70% of his passes, averaging 324 yards per game with a more than 4:1 TD/INT ratio.

Any given Sunday aside, the Broncos have made their bones by beating the West.

While the Chargers have kept things close for long stretches of games, eventually the Broncos have found the winning formula.

As far as the AFC West is concerned, this is an Orange and Blue world and everyone else is just living in it.

GO BRONCOS!!!
