Go Raiders? Blah... Go Steelers! - Late Games Open Thread

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

If you just can't bring yourself to root for the Raiders, then its got to be the Steelers tonight. The Broncos need help, so we'll need to swallow our pride some and pull for the team that has a chance to help our team out today.

The Games

Kansas City Chiefs (-6) at Oakland Raiders

New York Jets (+10) at Carolina Panthers

Green Bay Packers (+6) at Dallas Cowboys

New Orleans Saints (-6.5) at St. Louis Rams

Arizona Cardinals (-3) at Tennessee Titans

Cincinnati Bengals (-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Who to root for

Oakland. I'm not going to demand everyone to root for the Raiders, but it would be nice for the Chiefs to choke within the division for a fourth time this season. However, I also enjoy seeing Raider fans despondent and sad ... so either way this game will be a win for me.

Steelers. At 9-4, the Bengals could force the Broncos out of the #2 seed if they win out and the Broncos lose just once more before the season is over. Heck, if the Patriots lose too, then the Bengals would end up with the #1 overall seed. So yeah, it would be nice to squash this possibility today...

Dallas and Tennessee. These two teams lost to the Broncos earlier in the season, so the better record they achieve the more it will help the Broncos in any tiebreaking scenario that may crop out down the stretch.
