The Denver Broncos will be without Wes Welker for the second straight week, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports.
Must Read
Welker suffered a concussion in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans that caused him to miss Week 15 against the Chargers.
While the Broncos' offense suffered without Welker in the lineup last week, there's no rushing Welker back to the field from the NFL's scariest injury.
In fact, at this point it makes a lot of sense to bench Welker for the rest of the regular season. If the Broncos were to win their remaining games against the 2-12 Texans and the 4-10 Raiders, they would have a first round bye in the playoffs. That would give Welker a full month to recover from his concussion - the second such injury he had suffered in a two-week span.
And against competition like Houston and Oakland, the Broncos can feel pretty confident they can win out in the regular season even without Welker.
