Our defense wasn't as good as it looked (and that is saying something)

HI,

I have been a lurker on this board for many years and I want to say thanks for the great articles and thoughts. I have some thoughts I have to share about yesterdays game to see if others saw what I saw during the game.

I keep hearing on talk radio and on posts around the web that our defense stepped it up and stopped multiple drives to allow the Broncos to get back into the game. I don't think our defense did much of anything to stop the drives. I have to give all the credit to the absolutely horrendous wide receivers of KC. Alex smith played a great game. If he had our wide receivers catching his passes, they would have eaten us alive!

This KC team has won a lot of games on a lot of lucky turnovers their defense got against bad teams, but they still got them with this team having a very bad offense. We as Broncos fans need to keep out tone down about KC and how much they are imitators or else we are going to be eating crow when this team gets a couple of good wide receivers.

I know our team has so many key injuries it is hard to list them all and I do feel this defense can be much better, but for now I am really concerned about our playoff run with the defense players that are currently on the field. Here is to hoping we heal up fast so that we don't have to score 50 to win in the playoffs.
