Snaps

1232 is how many offensive snaps the Denver Broncos ran in 2013. Starting with our skill position players, Peyton Manning played the highest percentage of the snaps. He is followed by Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Julius Thomas, Wes Welker, and Knowshon Moreno.

When we move to the line, Louis Vasquez is the only Bronco offensive player to play every snap in 2013. Both Manny Ramirez and Zane Beadles come in at a close 2nd.

Grades

The highest graded players were Peyton Manning, Louis Vasquez, Manny Ramirez, and Demaryius Thomas. Each of them ranked within the top 10 of their respective position groups.

Why is Julius Thomas so low? His run blocking. Julius graded out +10.7 receiving, and -17.9 in run blocking.

The Broncos lowest graded players were Joel Dreessen and Zane Beadles. Beadles is a starter and had a very subpar year.

Money

This was more for fun than anything else. What I did was take each player's cap number (I rounded them off for round figures) and divide them by their snaps played to give you how much the Broncos paid them per snap. Having signed a big deal and then succumbing to a season ending injury, Ryan Clady earned a whopping 86K per snap. That is by far the highest on offense. The lowest paid player per snap was Julius Thomas who earned $705 dollars per snap--gotta love those bottom basement 7th round rookie contracts;)

Peyton Manning is 8th dollars per snap at about 14.8K. He is surpassed by his backup Brock Osweiler who made 15.7K per snap.

Interesting stats

- Louis Vasquez was the only Broncos starting lineman to not allow a sack. Beadles and Ramirez allowed 1 each.

- Chris Clark allowed 7 sacks

- Knowshon Moreno ranked 10th amongst running backs in pass block efficiency.

- Peyton Manning was the 2nd ranked quarterback in the league in deep passing completing 38 of 83 attempts (45.7%) for 1299 yards, 12 TD's and 5 INT's.

-25% of passing plays were off playaction.

- Manning had the fastest time to throw amongst all NFL quarterbacks (2.36 seconds). Andy Dalton was 2nd (2.43), Tom Brady was 4th (2.46), Phillip Rivers was 10th (2.63), and both Alex Smith (2.87) and Andrew Luck (2.80) were significantly slower.

I'll bring you a breakdown of the defense tomorrow.
