Peyton Manning was the MVP of the Broncos in 2012, but today, Manning is doing his best to make an impact off the field.
On Wednesday, former Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney said that Peyton Manning has already been in contact with him to bring Freeney to the Mile High City.
Manning sent an encouraging text to Freeney telling him not to worry about being released and he should come play in Denver. Freeney also worried that the team would not have a spot for him due to the amount of pass rushers the team already has,
Freeney will be a popular player in the free agent game. You can never have too many pass rushers, and Freeney could be a great addition to a defensive line that is already strong on the outside.
Dwight Freeney is 33 years old and have five sacks and 12 tackles in 14 games. 7 times in his career he has gathered double digit sacks.
The Broncos have had no problem at least taking an interest in former Colts. The Broncos signed Jacob Tamme and Brandon Stokley, both former Colts and Manning teammates, however, Freeney is a defensive end so the connection would just be a relationship.
Do you think Dwight Freeney has anything left in the tank? Would he be a good fit for the Broncos?
