#28-A trade down is a popular opinion since we only have 6 picks. I don't think that will happen at #28. Besides, if we're hoping for a MLB or DE to fall to us and he does happen to, we jump on it.
First, I would like to say that, if Datone Jones is there at #28, I hope we would take him and it would change this whole mock. I don't think he will be though and I'm not fond of the other choices at #28 for the DE position.
I think it will be an ILB at #28. Why? Because there could possibly be 2 of the top 4 prospects to choose from. The way I have them ranked is Manti Te'o, Kevin Minter, Arthur Brown and Alec Ogletree. My hope before the end of the season was that somehow we could get Te'o. It happened. A fake girlfriend hoax and a bad Championship game. Teams are leery of him. They are worried about locker room camaraderie because of the teasing he will get. I feel the Broncos locker room would be fine. Minter is the safe pick though. He should be first off the board, IMO. Brown has the versatility teams like. He could go next. Some of the teams with a MLB need will go with picks other than MLB. Houston is in front of us and they worry me. They should go WR or MLB. I said they go with a WR, leaving us with...

#58-When I did a 3 round mock for all teams (which I try to update frequently), the number of players said to have first round talent do not add up to the actual spots available. I guarantee that there will be players still on the board at #58 that have been pegged by someone as a possible first rounder. In my mock DEs slide quite a bit because teams have equal needs for other positions and figure they can get a DE later on. The draft seems pretty deep with them.
However, to think that one of the top DEs we might have eyes for will still be available at #58, would be wishful at best. I feel we have to trade up from #28 or #58 to get one of the top 7 DEs.
I took Sam Montgomery (who will fall into round 3 now I believe) off our board. He is just not someone I think we will even consider.
We lack the firepower for a trade up as mentioned with the fact we only have 6 picks. Unless Carradine, Okafor or Hunt magically making it to #58, I see a trade down happening here. In my mock, I had a run of RBs starting to go around here and since we have shown interest in them, some team may want to trade up for the one they want, like Bell. We could pick Bell here, but like I said before we don't have very many picks and could gain one or more here. Besides, like I also said before I see Moreno and Hillman as our main RBs.
Detroit has someone slide they like and give us #65 and #137
