Broncos Improve Pass Rush With Phillips and Smith

The Broncos picked up Charger LB Shaun Phillips who produced 9.5 sacks last season. Moreover, Denver picked up Quanterus Smith a DE from Kentucky.

Phillips is proven LB who made the Pro Bowl in 2010 and should help to fill the pass rushing hole that was left by Dumervil signing with the Ravens.

Smith comes from Sun Belt conference that produced DeMarcus Ware, and Osi Umenyiora. Smith had 12.5 sacks last year before tearing his ACL, and should be ready for training camp.

The other draft pick I am excited about is RB Montee Ball the second round pick. Ball produced 1,923 yards last year for the Badgers, and had 33 TDs. Ball also tied Barry Sanders record with 39 total TDs, and rushed for 164 yards in the Rose Bowl.
