Aaron Curry was a victim of the roster cuts yesterday by the New York Giants. Being the 4th pick of the 2009 draft by the Seattle Seahawks, this may be the end of the road. Like many draft analysts, I was high on Curry in the 2009 draft and wished there was someway he would fall to our Broncos. He obviously hasn't produced enough to even stay on a roster nonetheless live up to his potential. His traditional position is SAM. While I have complete trust in Nate Irving's ability as our SAM going into the season, he has had health issues in the past and we do not have much insurance behind him. While many are down on Curry, who has already acquired the label as a top 10 bust of the past decade, he will cost little and may prove beneficial under the coaching of JDR and Fox. If anything, he provides insurance in our SLB core. And I'm sure as hell he will be motivated knowing that this would likely be his last opportunity in the NFL. What is your opinion on the matter? Love to hear the perspectives from Broncos Country. Have at it!
