The Denver Broncos on Tuesday made their final two roster moves to get down to the NFL-mandated 75 players, a few hours before the 2:00 p.m. deadline. Neither roster move required the Broncos to release or waive a player.
Safety Quinton Carter was placed on Injured Reserve, and center J.D. Walton was placed on the team's Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Carter will miss the 2013 season; Walton will miss at least the first six weeks before being eligible to return to practice and games any time over the next three weeks.
Both players missed all or most of the 2012 season with injuries.
Earlier this week, the Broncos waived 11 players, including wide receiver Greg Orton.
Denver is now at 75 players but must make 22 other roster moves by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. MT to get down to their regular season limit of 53 players.
