KC, DB, E, F, G.

Hey, I wouldn't be bitching if it was an alphabetical thing, but "Kansas City" does not come before Denver, and "Chiefs" does not come before Broncos. What is it with the NFL.com Statistitions that doesn't allow them to get it right?

We've double the Chiefs scoring effort so far, (90 – 45) with a Denver 40 – 27 net point differential, and still the NFL has us listed as the second fiddle to KC. I'm not sure why that is so annoying to me but it is. Perhaps I just have an unhealthy hatred for all AFC West teams that don't start with the letters DB.

Last year KC's Offense was ranked dead last in The Points Category, & their D was 25th in points allowed. It sucked to be you guys! So far this year their Off is 16th & Def is 2nd. (Amazing how playing Jacksonville can affect the stats early in the year.) The Broncos Off is #1 & our Def is 21st in points allowed. (Look at the difference in the quality of our opponents so far!)

Our games with KC should turn out to be pretty interesting with our high powered offense against their high powered defense. Since both of our games come late in the year, it will be interesting to see how the above stats have changed between now and then.

We found out how immaterial last week's argument about sack totals was. When a team has a secondary that (what's it called, "sucks balls"?) can't defend the pass, then I suppose that sacks become a very important statistic. Fortunately Denver is blessed with a World Class secondary, and that's with the Champ sitting out of the game!

How much will change when Champ gets back I don't know. I do know that I've seen several mistakes made by Carter that have made me cringe, and so noting his upside, I'm still going to be very happy to see Champ back at 100%. I'm just glad that we don't NEED to rush him back in to soon.

I've always contended that there is no one thing in this game bigger than the sum total. Let the chess match continue. Thus far I'm impressed with the way JDR has used the talent he has to contain our opponents offenses adequately enough so that OUR OFFENSE makes their entire team look helpless.

Did anyone miss Von Miller yesterday? The Broncos front seven are averaging just 2.5 sacks per game so far (Only 40/yr at this pace), but the O-line is only allowing 1.5 per game so we're winning in that department. The stat that I love is INTs. Broncos 6, opponents ZIP, and that's a 3 per game average! Keep it up guys. Our turnover stat is +3 after two games. Hopefully we will continue to improve on that.

When a game is already won, then rack up the INTs guys. We want our current D to become legendary, and It's the stats that live far beyond the players' careers. But if the game is in doubt, you had better just knock down that 4th down pass in the inzone Mr. Carter, and give us those extra 15 yards on the change of posession!

Decker will get over his concentration issues! When that happens, look out!
