Hi all,
I just finished reading Nate Jackson's new book. He spent several years with the Broncos. I thought it was a good read.
What I found very interesting was the human aspect of the book. His writing is a little bleak because his experience was not that of the stars and starters. But at the same time he loves football and the Broncos. It is an honest voice. Human.
I remember some of the discussions we had years ago on the forums online and on this website, and remembering how we sometimes disparaged a guy who was often injured or didn't perform as well as wished ... I feel a bit ashamed. Maybe I was young and foolish. But I also suffered the same blindness towards the individual athlete as many people do.
What was freaky was Nate's one week experience with the Browns under Mangini.
Anyhow, I would recommend every Broncos fan who followed the team in the 2000s and knows the players to read it. You'll find some interesting stories and insights.
Cheers
