My entire NFL Prediction

I decided after seeing a bunch of sites, sadly including SBNation, where the NFL as a whole exceeds .500 in their record that I would put together my prediction for the season for each team and of course the eventual outcome of the Broncos Super Bowl Victory!!!

This was me simply looking at every single game and marking who I think would win. I ignored win-loss overall and just said "This team wins" every single game. In the end I think that led to more interesting outcomes really.

So, here it is!

AFC West

Denver 12-4 Chiefs 12-4 Chargers 4-10 Raiders 0-16

We all know the Raiders are horrible. But when I actually go through and pick games individually that i think the teams will win the Chiefs find themselves with a pretty good record. But they will be 2nd on tiebreaker simply because the Broncos are so much better.

AFC North

Bengals 15-1 Steelers 10-6 Baltimore 8-8 Browns 7-9

I am very bullish that Dalton will turn into a good quarterback. I actually think he will end up as the 2nd best QB in the division behind some guy who plays on a 500 team. I also think Baltimore has had too much transition and is going to struggle this year.

AFC South

Texans 11-5 Colts 8-8 Titans 6-10 Jags 2-14

Jacksonville will be pretty bad, but they will beat the Jets and Raiders. The Colts are going the right direction, but a lot of luck went their way last year. Yeah, that was a bad pun. In the end the Texans have a D-Coordinator who can get the best out of what he has and an offense that does enough to win a couple games all on their own.

AFC East

New England 14-2 Dolphins 6-10 Bills 3-13 Jets 3-13

So, um, I am really not sure how, but New England wins 14 games. I think that it is easier to explain the Bengals honestly. Maybe Belichick has some kind of mind control. If the Dolphins have anything resembling an offense I am completely wrong here. The problem is that I don't think they will have much offense at all really. The Bills and Jets are what they are. Pretty awful

AFC Playoffs

Round 1

Denver beats the Steelers and Texans eliminate the Chiefs.

Round 2

Denver goes to Foxboro and just destroys the Patriots. The Bengals win easily over the Texans who remember they are the Texans

Championship

Denver heads to the Super Bowl after Andy Daulton freaks out and begs Peyton MF Manning for his autograph during the game.

NFC West

49ers 13-3 Seahawks 10-6 Rams 9-7 Cardinals 3-13

Ok, who actually thinks the Cardinals are any good? Sit down Chuck, I know you sit at every game in your season ticket seats and hope, but dude, come on. On the other side, the Seahawks are pretty good, but they are expecting too much from WRs who are either injury prone or simply not that great when it counts. The 49ers annoyingly have an amazing defense and a QB who likely doesn't need real WRs to score enough points. Remember the Ravens about 10 years ago. Yup, me too. The Rams have Jeff Fischer and he simply gets you a win by the power of the Vette Stach every season. His team is actually pretty decent too.

NFC North

Packers 12-4 Vikings 8-8 Lions 6-10 Bears 5-11

I think that the Bears simply are overhyped. The Packers have that Aaron Rodgers guy and a defense with some great playmakers. The Vikings also have a nice, but not overly exciting defense and an offense that is simply ok. The Lions come across to me as a team that doesn't care anymore and will have a new head coach after this season.

NFC South

Saints 12-4 Falcons 11-5 Bucs 6-10 Panthers 5-11

The Saints have one of the best head coaches back and one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL. So like the Texans that makes them pretty dang good! The Falcons likely win just because of the awesomeness that is Matt Ryan and his receiving corps. The bucs and panthers are teams who have some really nice pieces, but they are either old, or have some issue that makes you wonder if they can make that much of a difference. Personally I think Revis gets voted off his own island late this season.

NFC East

Eagles 10-6 Giants 9-7 Redskins 9-7 Cowboys 6-10

Sorry honey, your Cowboys are just not that good. Ok, maybe they figure out how to make an offensive line work without 5 NFL caliber starters available to them. What surprised me after this exercise was the Eagles wining this division. The more I thought about that the more I realized they actually are a decent team in a fairly balanced division. I think Shanahan is doing a bit of what he did in Denver convincing everyone he is one player away when in reality he needs 3-4 more players. But he is good enough and the talent is good enough to win some games. The Giants are a 9-7 team often. I guess they repeat.

NFC Playoffs

Round 1

Packers beat the Seahawks and Chip Kelly leans that the NFL has a real playoff and he doesn't get to be voted into the Super Bowl as the Falcons go to Philly and win easily.

Round 2

49ers beat the Falcons setting a record for sacks in a playoff game with 17. Saints blowout the Packers in a shocking game where Rodgers throws 4 interceptions all returned for Touchdowns.

Championship

49ers continue on to the Super Bowl in a shootout where they use 5 WRs and every "WR" is actually a TE or RB flexed out. This confuses the Saints and they simply decide to throw the ball 100 times finishing on a last second dropped pass by Sproles as time expires.

Super Bowl

The Broncos demolish the 49ers 55-10 in a game that seems close at halftime, but quickly falls apart. After the game Pat Bowlin holds up the Lombardi and screams "This one is MINE ALL MINE!!!"
