I'd like to thank the Broncos for beating the chargers who were babysat by the refs costing us a playoff spot a few weeks ago.
At this point, we are either mad at the refs, or our 8-8 team. Of course the NFL moves on despite these situations. Steeler fans have a standard of holding grudges and the other playoff teams are no different. It's not as bad as last year when we had to choose between our biggest rival or a team that would have equaled our SB rings but we still have reason to hate most of these teams.
Besides Russel Wilson, the organization to us is a bunch of whining brats who would complain about a SB that happened nine years ago than actually try to get back there. Also Richard Sherman is annoying.
The niners are a classy franchise and I'm happy they're the ones threatening our six rings and not the cowboys. Despite this, we must inflate our ego by knowing that our own six rings are just that, our own. I had to root for the Ravens last year for god sakes. Also Jim Harbaugh is too much like his brother for me to like him.
And now the patriots. Oh Lordy the patriots. Mrs. Magic Mike Tom Brady and his cheating golem of a HC. Need I say more?
Trash talk aside, most steeler fans at Behind the Steel Curtain are rooting for the Broncos. I've always had all the respect in the world for Peyton Manning, Elway, and the Broncos franchise. Besides wanting Tebow time to die in the playoffs(our FS will literally die if he sets foot in Colorado)I have no problem with Denver(my dad always did find Elway too cocky though). It also just seems wrong for Peyton to lose now after the run he's had.
So just this once Denver, we're with you, then steeler fans can go back to reminding you guys of Elways comments about Jack Lambert. Just be careful cause next year, we'll be back. We're a lot more optimistic now than we were at the start of the season.
