Charles Suffers Apparent Injury on Chiefs' First Drive

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas City Chiefs prolific scamperer Jamaal Charles went down injured during the Chiefs first drive.

It wasn't much to wince at, but it was enough of a hit that Jamaal Charles was undergoing concussion protocol minutes later.

During Kansas City's first drive of the day Charles received a short pass from quarterback Alex Smith, was tackled and then remained on the ground for a few minutes. He would make it to the bench where he remained for a few more plays and then he was off to the locker room.

Charles remains off the sideline, the Chiefs went on to score on that drive on a 3rd and Goal pass from Smith to wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.
