The Story of the Denver Broncos Four Horsemen and the Succulent Baby Lamb

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

This was written by my brother Joe, a long time Bronco fan....

I watched as the succulent baby lamb threw the first pass. Then I heard one of the announcers say in a voice like thunder, "Touchdown!" I looked, and there before me was an Orange Jersey! He held a football in his hands, and he wore a blue helmet, "Decker" was the name on his back, and he ran into the end-zone as a victor bent on victory.

When the succulent baby lamb threw the second pass, I heard the second announcer say, "Touchdown!" Then I saw another NFL Jersey--a Bronco Orange one. He also ran into the End Zone, taking peace of mind from the Seahawks faithful and to causing them to want to cry in each other's arms. To him was given a Mile High Salute. "Thomas 88" was on his back.

When the succulent baby lamb threw the third pass, I heard yet another announcer say "Touchdown!" I looked, and there before me was yet another Orange Jersey! He was pumping a pair of fists high in the air, and he was surrounded by many other Orange Jerseys, all celebrating together with him in the End Zone. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among those in the Broadcast Booth, saying, ‘All in a day's work" and "listen to those Seahawk fans whine!" The player was again named "Thomas". But his number was "80".

When the succulent baby lamb threw the fourth pass, I heard the voice of the color commentator say, "Touchdown!" I looked, and there before me were a bunch of pale-faced Seahawk fans. Their season was done, and Humiliation followed closely. They were given one last gasp on Fourth and Ten, but the Broncos D stuffed them short. The name of the player who caught the Touchdown was "Welker". And shouts of joy were heard from a mile high.

Then the succulent baby lamb took a knee and hoisted up the Lombardi Trophy. When he did this, I saw in the stands the heart and soul of the Broncos: their loyal fans. Loyal, because they endured four previous humiliating defeats, and last year's embarrassing loss to the Ravens. They were now being comforted with their third championship win in a row. They called out in a loud voice, "How long have we waited for this game to be played!" Then each of them put on their orange and blue T-Shirts and Jerseys, and were told to wait until Tuesday for the Victory Parade.

GO BRONCOS! 28-17
