FA Mock Draft

From Elway's presser, I understand he will be buying FAs to have the team set to play in 2014 before any draft picks are made. Therefore, looking at draft prospects is not going to happen here. I am going to take a stab at which of our FAs we retain and where we look to fill our other holes.

1st our FAs;

IMO, most of our FAs will be talked to and given an offer before they go see what their value is outside of Denver. Some will sign with us right away. Let's face it, Denver is a good place to be right now.

I don't see these guys even getting an offer to stay.

Michael Huff

Marquice Cole

Quentin Jammer

Dan Koppen

Paris Lenon

These guys I could see staying on the cheap, no or minimal guarantee contracts.

Shaun Phillips

Jeremy Mincey

Mike Adams

Winston Justice

Stewart Bradley

Andre Caldwell

Steve Vallos

Mitch Unrein (RFA)

Tony Carter (RFA)

Duke Ihenacho (ERFA)

Trindon Holliday (ERFA)

Brandon Marshall (ERFA)

These guys get better contract offers from us and sign on the dotted line.

Chris Harris(RFA)

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Zane Beadles

These guys test the market.

Eric Decker

Wesley Woodyard

Robert Ayers

Knowshon Moreno

These three tell Denver their offers and Denver can't afford to match.

Eric Decker

Robert Ayers

Knowshon Moreno

The only one to not find a way better offer was....

Wesley Woodyard

and he re-signs with us.

Champ signs a new contract.

Now UFAs from other teams.

Our holes Elway will fill, IMO, are; WR,RB,MLB,SS. Not DE after re-signing Phillips and Mincey.

I think our first grab will be the long awaited MLB. Last year we tried to get by without. This year we go get a top notch player, steal from a division rival and solidify a hole in the D all at once. It could happen. I know they will probably franchise him though. We could still get him if they do.

Donald Butler

2nd grab we go big time again. Rumor is the Browns will not franchise him and they might go after Byrd instead of...

T.J. Ward

Now we go WR. We already re-signed Bubba and I think we will draft a WR pretty high. On a one year prove it deal...

Kenny Britt

And at RB, we go a jack of all trades guy. Smart(Stanford?). My hope is for the active RBs each week to be Ball, Hillman and...

Toby Gerhart

It was fun and would like to get more into it, but can't right now. Time. I never have enough.
