NFL Combine 2014: Monday schedule features draft's top defenders

Defensive linemen and linebackers - two positions often linked to the Denver Broncos - will workout as the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine continues Monday.

The Denver Broncos' priorities in the 2014 NFL Draft are thought to be defense, defense, then more defense, making Monday's workouts the most pertinent and interesting to fans of the orange and blue. Mike Mayock talked exclusively about defensive players when asked how he sees the Broncos attacking the 31st overall pick. Both Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay mocked cornerbacks to the Broncos. It's clearly the team's area of need.

With Robert Ayers, Wesley Woodyard, Shaun Phillips, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie all set to hit free agency - and with the Broncos potentially prepared to let all of them hit the market - today's workouts could go a long way in shaping the future of the Denver Broncos.

Cornerbacks work out tomorrow.
