Such Is the Life Of A Bronco Fan

What is it that sets we Broncos fans apart from the rest of the NFL? What makes us different?

REALISTICALLY high expectations! Yes, we know our Broncos can take it all, and we have consistent regular season proof to back it up. We are post season regulars and over the last three years we're 3 for 6. That's not bad and better than most in the league! But alas, and once again we came up woefully short. Such is the life of a Bronco fan, and I suppose that is why this Superbowl loss hurts so bad.

"Cheer up! It was a great season!" Yes it was! But, so was last year; and yes, even the season before that. Remember Tebow? How can you forget, right? Some may want to forget, but you have to admit that season was fun! Pulling victory from the jaws of defeat was our forte. Am I the only one who actually thought we could beat New England? No, I don't want Tebow back, nor do I want to revert to those days. I'm just making a point, and nowadays it seems it is the exact opposite mindset for us. Not that the Superbowl was even remotely close enough to say we gave it away. It would have been better if it were stolen from us somehow!

Fair weather fan? I DO remember the lean times. There was a lot of sad and a lot of glad. I was elated with the Broncos earning just a winning record! "Wait until next year, it can only get better!" Well, things are different now. Now the bar has been raised. Curse John Elway.

Big John, my hero, said recently that he has never got over his Superbowl blowouts and this one is no different. They still hurt. You know what? I'm afraid I will remember this one as the worst of all! Record setting season be damned! There is no rainbow. There is no Mr Blue Sky. There are NO condolences! Only remembering; until we prove we CAN do it! It's time to put the pedal to the metal and drive this juggernaut right through SB XLIX.

I AM a Bronco Fan!
