My curiosity got the best of me and so I had to look up some info on them to see perhaps why they are of interest to the Broncos.

Although new to the Broncos, Jamar Chaney is an OLB with 4 years experience, 3 @ Philidelphia (7th rnd pick in 2010) & last year @ Atlanta. While in Phili, he played in 44 of 48 games (started 23) with 2011 being his best year (started 16 games).

In 2011 (his second year) he compiled 67 solo tkls & 24 assists, 8 pass/def, 3 INT & 1 forced fumble. His rookie year he played in 14gms (started 2) and recorded 27tkl & 9ast, 1 PD & 1 FF. His third year, 14gms (5 starts), 15tkl, 5ast, 1PD.

When the Eagles cut him prior to final roster cuts in 2013 the statement on their site said, "LB Jamar Chaney - Versatile linebacker who has extensive starting experience in 4-3. This gives him a chance to catch on quick with another team before final roster cuts." He ran a 4.56/40 at the combine.

Although Atlanta snatched him up after losing two LB's to injury in week two, he only played during one game last year, spending most of the year on reserve. Omar Gaither (9 years exp), who signed with the Falcons along with veteran LB Jamar Chaney ended up with the starting job.

You all know Nate Irving, Von Miller & Danny T, so enough said on those three.

UCFA Steven Johnson (4.78/40 time) isn't the fastest linebacker around, but he gave the Broncos 429 snaps (79.9% of possible 537 snaps) leading all players on Special Teams in snaps this year.

He's made 17 special-teams stops in his first two NFL seasons. In 2013 he tied for second on the team with seven special-teams tackles and blocked one punt, which he returned for a touchdown. He led the Big 12 Conference with 124 tackles in 2011, ranking 21st in the nation as a senior.

OLB Brandon Marshall was drafted by Jacksonville (5th rnd,142nd overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft & signed to Denvers PS Sept. 2, 2013. He totaled 259 tackles as a 4 year starter at Nevada (including 40 for a loss). He was promoted to the active roster on 12/24/13 when Von Miller was injured.

UCFA OLB, L.J. Fort was claimed by Cleveland last year and although he played sparingly in 16 games he did get 1 start, 8tkl/5ast, 1 sack, 1 INT & 8PD. He was a 3 year starter at Northern Iowa and during his final year he totaled 92 tackles, 3 INT, 11.5 TFLs, 1FF & 1FR. Camp fodder?

UCFA OLB, Jerrell Harris made the rounds in 2013. He was signed by the Falcons, Jaguars, Patriots, Raiders, Chargers & finally the Montreal Alouettes (Who?). He finally got some playing time as a rush DE in Canada.

His college career doesn't stand out as he played SLB and was "used sparingly due to formations" according to Alabama's Bio on him. (4.81s/40yd time)

UCFA OLB, Lerentee McCray recorded a 4.5s 40-yard dash but it wasn't at the combine. His college career at Florida didn't impress much, but the kid is fast.

It looks like these guys are ALL OLB's which doesn't help a heck of a lot when what we need is a MLB.

What do you think? Will any of them make the final roster?
