I Really Do...So said Gen. George Patton in the opening monologue of Patton...Comes in at about the 2:00 minute mark.
Here is a partial post from Rodney Adams, in this thread, about our acquisition of DeMarcus Ware: "....He’s a game wrecker. Imagine having two 2012 versions of Von Miller. That’s what we have. What we’ve done here is something that’s essentially banned on six continents and is only legally allowed in Australia. We’ve just put two elite edge rushers on the field at the same time. Two true-blue game-changers who truly and literally have to be accounted for by an opposing offense on every single play. Defending these two guys at the same time will not be possible, it won’t be fair, and I’m not even sure there’s ever been a precedent for it..."
So, some OCs might say :" We need to double-team Ware & Miller which might leave Pot Roast one-on-one...Here's what happens when you leave Pot Roast one-on-one against an All-Pro/Pro Bowl Guard.
So now, you're an OC and trying to decide how to block 3 Players with 5...The problem is that Broncos are gonna put another Player on the line & it's gonna be Derek Wolfe or Malik Jackson both can command a double team comin' in from the 3 tech. But wait, there's more trouble as your # 1 WR is covered by Talib who excels at press man & he can't get into his route & Danny T has your TE wrapped up...Harris Jr. beats your slot man like a rented mule and TJ Ward is just lookin' for someone to hit!
I truly appreciate all the FanPosts & those who take the time to write them. I would also like to thank mason for his excellent Post...Denver's Defensive Philosophy...I really did draw from that for the title to this post as well as Rodney's current tag line: Question. What happens if Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware both play like it's 2012? And what if Pot Roast, Boss Ward and Aquib Talib all play like it's 2013?
Armageddon? The Apocalypse?
In Closing, withall due respect to the Great General, I almost pity those poor bastards we're goin' up against...Ain't no such thing as a fair fight."
