A Middle Linebacker Prospect You've Never Heard of Worth Consideration

I was reading another fanpost that was largely about Montana OLB Jordan Tripp, a prospect the Broncos are reported to be interested in, and someone asked about how his Pro Day went. Being the interweb surfing football addict that I am, I decided to find out. It went well by the way.

I also found out that Jordan Tripp has a MLB teammate who also had a very fine Pro Day. His name is Brock Coyle. Brock was not invited to the Combine, but did play in the NFLPA Bowl, had a good game, and registered a tackle for loss. That appears to be about the extent of his national exposure. At his Pro Day, he measured in at 6' and 3/4" tall and 235 pounds with 32 and 1/2 inch arms. He ran the 40 in 4.60 and 4.64 sec., the short shuttle in 4.28 sec., and the three cone in 6.74 sec. He had a 37" vertical and a 9'7" broad jump. He also bench pressed 225# 25 times.

Brock was a co-captain of the defense along with Jordan Tripp during their senior year. He led the team in tackles with 125 total. He was responsible for five forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 13.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 passes deflected, and 2 interceptions.

I found this short YouTube video that details his quest for the NFL and the type of football player and person he is. Sounds like the kind of attitude I like in our Broncos players. If the Broncos don't want to use a late round draft pick on him, I hope they make a serious effort to sign him as a CFA.
