Bronco79's Mock 2.0 (Realistic Version)

This time I will be going for realistic in terms of where players may fall (or NOT fall) to us. After the first round selecting guys a round early is not to be unexpected, considering we have the next to last pick. I will also be using CBS rankings instead of Walter Football's this time.

1st: Xavier Su'a Filo, OG, UCLA Projected Round 1

Alternate: David Yankey, OG, Stanford Projected Round 1-2

-

2nd: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida Projected Round 3

Alternate: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska Projected Round 2-3

-

3rd: Chris Smith, DE, Arkansas Projected Round 3-4

Alternate: Josh Mauro, DE, Stanford Projected Round 4

-

4th: Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State Projected Round 4

Alternate: Christian Kirksey, OLB, Iowa Projected Round 3-4 Alt2: Lamin Barrow, ILB, LSU Projected Round 4-5

-

5th: Jeff Janis, WR, Saginaw Valley Projected Round 5-6

Alternate: Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana Projected Round 5

-

6th: Avery Williamson, ILB, Kentucky Projected Round 6

Alternate: Marqueston Huff, FS, Wyoming Projected Round 6

-

7th: LaDarius Perkins, RB, Mississippi State Projected Round 7-FA

Alternate: Kapri Bibbs, RB, CSU Projected Round UDFA

-

Round 1. I've been thinking how much improved blocking could help against the NFC West. The AFC West is no push over either. So why not fill the hole at LG with the best guard in the draft Xavier Su'a Filo !

Round 2. Corner has been discussed plenty. We need one, a good one. Period.

Round 3. You cannot have enough good pass rushers. These guys looked to be the better talent available to us in the late third.

Round 4. I would really like to see a good backup for Trevathan. As much as we are in the nickel it would be advisable to grab a backup. Maybe someone to spell him for a bit. I believe Christian Jones could fill in nicely.

Round 5. Janis. The seemingly inevitable Bronco. Cody Latimer is a step slower but looks interesting in the 5th as well. Another big WR to consider in the later rounds.

Round 6. In the 6th round BPA is the name of the game. These kids could provide some depth, and help on ST. Really you could go anywhere here.

Round 7. I will feel a whole lot better when Ronnie Hillman is not our second, or even third RB. He could do a 180 this year, but I'm not holding my breath. I've heard the Broncos will lean more on the running game this year. Quality depth would make that idea more likely. I'd love to grab Perkins, AND Bibbs as a UDFA.
