It's that time of year again. A week before the draft and all the posturing that has been done should be pretty well set, barring some prospect doing something stupid like getting arrested!
Every contest needs a prize, and this one last year had nothing but bragging rights. This year I'll try to make it a bit more interesting by providing some GIFs for the winners. Here are a couple of examples I threw together, and I'll continue to work on ideas as I have time throughout the week.
Tell me what you think in the comments and if you have ideas or suggestions hit me up with those as well.
You may enter as many Mocks as you like, but your last mock is the only one that will count. The cut off date and time is midnight before Day one. (Wed. May 7th) Just list your picks in the comment section below.
DPP (Director of Player Personnel) = Contestant who selects the most "Positions" selected in the correct round, regardless of what player filled the position. Tie break is the contestant who also gets the most correct CFA positions selected.
HC Fox = Second most players selected correctly (round doesn't matter). Tie break is the contestant who's selections are the closest to the correct round wins.
OC Gase = Contestant who selects the correct Offensive player in the correct round. Tie break is the highest round wins. (Or, most Offensive players correctly selected in any round.)
DC JDR = Contestant who selects the correct Defensive player in the correct round. Tie break is the highest round wins. (Or, most Defensive players correctly selected in any round.)
STC Jeff Rodgers = Contestant who selects the most CFA players we select from the CFA pool. (13 - 15 max is about what John grabs each year.)
S&C Luke Richesson = Contestant who correctly selects the strongest player in this years draft.
QC Greg Knapp = Contestant who selects the correct QB we select. Tie break is the contestant who's selection is the closest to the correct round wins.
Well, there you have it. Have fun, and may the best Draft Guru win the GM of the year award!
Here's the link to the Fan Speak Draft Calculator.
HINT: If you use Fan Speak, BEFORE you make pick #7, copy the list that's left after the last pick before your #7 pick. Then you can easily subtract the players selected after your last pick from that list and it gives you an idea of who the CFA's are that will be available after the draft has concluded.
OR, you can copy and paste this template to save some time.
