Broncos Draft... Yawn... or Yeah...?

Drafts are tricky. Drafts have strange turns. Drafts have euphoria. Drafts haves great disappointment. The Broncos draft Cornerback Bradley Roby in the first round. Elway said he tried to move up but the price was to high. I really thought Elway would move up. However, as pointed out by other knowledgable bloggers at MHR the price would be to high to pay. Good call! We will learn more about the detail later. Without knowing the details I think other teams dealing with the Broncos as a SB contender made moving up much more of a challenge. Elway sounded like he deeply wanted to move up but could not sacrifice the greater good of the team for one position. So the Broncos take a CB. Not a bad move.

The Broncos want competition at Conerback… Last year the Broncos picked Kayvon Webster and now Bradley Roby in the first round. The message is clear. The Broncos want to really improve at cornerback. DRC was replaced by Talib. Bailey was replaced by Roby. Quentin Jammer is gone… Is it possible we will see a little more action at CB?

What’s even more clear is Wide Receiver. Elway knows the value of wide receiver. He wants the Broncos to stay on top! We loose Eric Decker and Trinton Holiday and pick up Emanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer. This is another upgrade…

OT was no surprise! We loose Beadles and pick up Michael Schofield. Perhaps Schofield was a bit of a surprise. I will reserve my comments and defer to more knowledgeable MHR Bloggers. What do you think about MS?

How do you feel about the draft so far..
