We've all abused this site waaaaay too much, just ask your loved ones.
The only "truth" I've found from doing hours upon hours of mock drafts is the fact that there WILL be talent that falls to us at lucky #31 (IF we stay put at our original pick).
Last year Sly fell and we pulled the trigger, but will we overlook a position of need to draft a higher graded prospect this time around? Truth be told, I am unsure Elway isn't kicking himself to this day by passing on Ogletree (2013) or Doug Martin (2012). Not to say that Sly/Wolf aren't bad mofos and important pieces moving forward, but damn. Hindsight is always 20/20 btw.
I've been wondering who represents better value to the Broncos in this years draft. In the first round is LB>OT, CB>LB or CB>OT? Is it specific players or positions of need that will sway them one way or the other? Sly>Ogletree.
I personally want to see QBs free fall so we can trade back and gather ammo to target specific players later in the draft. Let's say Carr falls to 31 and we trade w/ Tennessee for their 2014 2nd and 4th along w/ their 2015 3rd (total guess on value). If QBs fall that means many on the Broncos big board prolly won't be available at #31.
Do these added picks sway us from taking a Fuller, Nix III or a Beckham jr.? Is 31 any different than the high 40's (aside from the 5th yr option)? What is a "fair" price to move?
