Denver Broncos 2014 training camp opens in one week

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The countdown to training camp is on! Here's everything you need to know.

Do you hear that Broncos fans? I know I do.

It's the sound of 180 cleats pounding the lawn at Dove Valley. It's the sound of 90 shoulder pads crashing into 90 other shoulder pads, with the humans they are harnessing exclaiming and oomphing and cursing underneath. It's the sound of a hundred pig-skinned cylinders smacking into the gloves, chest plates, arms, helmets, and cleats of nearly 100 athletes.

It's the sound of redemption.

It's the sound of football.

It's the sound of Denver Broncos training camp, and it's one week away.

And it's my favorite sound in the world.

The first day of Broncos training camp is Thursday, July 24, and while most practices are closed to the public we will be doing everything we can to provide coverage to Broncos fans. Yours truly will be attending the first four days of Broncos training camp, and we are working with the Broncos in hopes to provide full coverage to Broncos fans throughout camp.  That starts in earnest now, with our training camp previews kicking off today.

Training camp previews

We'll be breaking down each position group to preview 2014 training camp for you throughout the next seven days. Stay tuned for our first preview later today!

We need your help

We would like to ask a number of fans some questions about training camp for stories on Mile High Report. Consider this a "Reverse Mailbag", where we ask you the questions. The questions will be along the lines of:

  • Which rookie are you most excited to hear about during camp?
  • Who do you think will emerge out of [position group] to make the team?
  • Who is your player to watch at [position group]?

We are asking you to write a paragraph or two in response to each of these questions. If you're interested in participating, leave a comment saying so! You can even specify a position group if you're particularly interested in one. We will email you for stories to run through next week!

Let us know anything you're interested in hearing about regarding training camp in the comments and we'll do our best to keep you covered.

Go Broncos!
