According to 9NEWS Denver's Mike Klis, the Broncos are currently having contract negotiations with defensive end Malik Jackson.
Klis also reports that the Broncos are waiting for Peyton Manning to make a decision on his career before starting contract talks with Osweiler. The Broncos are doing this out of respect to Manning

The Broncos are hoping Manning makes his decision sooner rather than later because the Broncos only have a limited amount of time to hammer something out with Osweiler.
The tampering period when other teams can begin to all the free agents begins on March 7th, and the real things kick's off two days later, on March 9th.
It's been reported that the Cleveland Browns potentially could be the top competition for the services of Brock Osweiler this offseason if he hits the open market. They have the cap space and need a quarterback. Other teams with plenty of cap space and a quarterback need are the Rams, Texans and Eagles.
Klis believes preliminary talks between Osweiler's people and the Broncos could begin during next week's NFL Scouting Combine.
While the Broncos aren't currently talking to Brock Osweiler, they are negotiating "in earnest" with defensive end Malik Jackson.
Klis goes on to say that both sides haven't made enough progress to keep Jackson from hitting the open market, but the two sides are still talking. I believe it's likely that Jackson hits the free agent market. He is going to have multiple suitors out there who are willing to outbid the other.
Klis also reports that the Broncos and Von Miller haven't talked about a contract at all. This clearly points to the Broncos placing the Franchise Tag on him in the coming days and weeks.
From there the Broncos will have until July 15th to work out a contract extension for Miller. If not, he will play the 2016 season on the Franchise Tag. I see this coming down the deadline like it did last offseason with wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.
This is only the beginning of the free agency rumors. We will have more reports, rumors, and moves here in the next days and weeks.
