So we're all chilling the other day and a staff member who I won't name starts trying to make a point:
If people want to say that Prater was the big reason that Tebow won comebacks, then you have to take away the same type of comebacks from one John Elway.
...
Chaos ensued in our normally peaceful chat room.
Human sacrifice.
Dogs and cats living together.
Mass hysteria.
---
This is why we can't have nice things in the summer. THIS is what we get to talk about with no NFL action taking place.
Those of you who were reading my stuff back when Tebow was a thing probably know where I stand on this one, but I don't want the stage here.
What are your thoughts on this subject? Here are points to consider that came up for us:
1) In no world of serious NFL talk is it ever okay to compare Tim "one-hopper" Tebow to John "GOAT" Elway.
2) Fox much like Reeves tried to make Tebow run a more normalized offense for 55 minutes of every game, then in the last 5 minutes let Tebow off the chain.
3) Elway clearly had NFL QB talent that Tebow could only dream of possessing. Elway used his passing prowess to pull off miracle comebacks while Tebow mostly went beast-mode fullback to gain enough yardage for a FG attempt.
Seriously though: regardless of my opinions on the QB, the 2011 Denver Broncos season was one of the top 5 seasons in my mind as a Broncos fanatic.
