Defensive tackle ROD COLEMAN of the Atlanta Falcons, cornerback ANTONIO CROMARTIE of the San Diego Chargers, linebacker KARLOS DANSBY of the Arizona Cardinals, linebacker NATE WEBSTER of the Denver Broncos and linebacker WILL WITHERSPOON of the St. Louis Rams are the finalists for GMC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK honors for games played on November 11 - 12, the NFL announced today.  

Fans can vote for one of these five players on NFL.com beginning immediately following Monday Night Football and ending on Thursday at 4:00 pm EST to determine the GMC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK.  The winner will be announced Thursday evening on NFL.com.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for GMC Defensive Player of the Year honors.  Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com throughout the month of January.  

A closer look at the finalists:

--Atlanta's ROD COLEMAN collected three tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble to disrupt the Panthers' offense in the Falcons' 20 - 13 win over the Carolina Panthers.

--San Diego's ANTONIO CROMARTIE made six solo tackles and three interceptions in the Chargers' 23 - 21 win over the Indianapolis Colts.  Cromartie's third interception of the game gave the ball to the Chargers on the Indianapoli s 45 and led to a touchdown drive that put the Chargers up 23 - 0.

--Arizona's KARLOS DANSBY put up four tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble in the Cardinals' 31 - 21 win over the Detroit Lions.  Dansby's first interception and forced fumble led to Cardinals' scoring drives to contribute to the win.

--Denver's NATE WEBSTER recovered a fumble and ran it 17 yards for a touchdown in the Broncos' 27 - 11 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.  Webster finished with five solo tackles.

--St. Louis' WILL WITHERSPOON made seven (six solo) tackles, had one sack and forced one fumble in the Rams' 37 - 29 win over the New Orleans Saints.  Although his first-quarter forced fumble was recovered by New Orleans , it pushed them out of field goal range and forced the Saints to punt.

Cornerback LEON HALL of the Cincinnati Bengals, cornerback CHRIS HOUSTON of the Atlanta Falcons, running back MARSHAWN LYNCH of the Buffalo Bills, cornerback ERIC WRIGHT of the Cleveland Browns and running back SELVIN YOUNG of the Denver Broncos are the finalists for DIET PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK honors for games played on November 11 - 12, the NFL announced today.  

Fans can vote for one of these five players on NFL.com beginning Tuesday at 8am EST and ending on Friday at noon to determine the DIET PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK.  The DIET PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK will be announced Friday evening on NFL.com.

In addition, for the third year, NFL fans may cast their votes for the DIET PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK using phones with Sprint wireless service - an opportunity available only to Sprint customers.  This fast, convenient voting method involves texting the word PEPSI to short code 7777.  Sprint customers will then receive an interactive text message that links fans to the ballot with the five finalists each week.  Data and text messaging rates may apply.

A closer look at the finalists:

--Cincinnati's LEON HALL posted five solo tackles and one interception in the Bengals' 21 - 7 win over the Baltimore Ravens.  Hall intercepted a McNair pass at the Cincinnati 0 for a touchback with 18 seconds left in the first-half.

--Atlanta's CHRIS HOUSTON made eight tackles and defensed two passes in the Falcons' 20 - 13 win over the Carolina Panthers.  Houston's first defensed pass came in the third quarter on a third down, which forced Carolina to punt and led to a Falcons field goal on the ensuing possession.

--Buffalo's MARSHAWN LYNCH carried the ball 19 times for 61 yards including one fourth-quarter touchdown and a two-point conversion in the Bills' 13 - 10 win over the Miami Dolphins.

--Cleveland's ERIC WRIGHT led the Browns with 11 solo tackles and one sack in the Browns' 31 - 28 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

--Denver's SELVIN YOUNG rushed for 109 yards over 20 carries and one touchdown in the Broncos' 27 - 11 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.  Young wasted no time in the second start of his NFL career with a 34-yard run on the Broncos' opening drive to set up Jason Elam's first field goal.

This is Pepsi's sixth year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL and the third year that Diet Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.

Quarterbacks MARC BULGER of the St. Louis Rams, BRETT FAVRE of the Green Bay Packers and TONY ROMO of the Dallas Cowboys are the finalists for FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week honors for games played on November 11 - 12, while running backs RYAN GRANT of the Green Bay Packers, BRIAN WESTBROOK of the Philadelphia Eagles and SELVIN YOUNG of the Denver Broncos are the finalists for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week honors, the NFL announced today.

Fans can vote for one player in each category on NFL.com from 9am EST on Tuesday through 5pm EST on Thursday to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week.  The winners will be announced Thursday evening on NFL.com.  

Fans will be voting for more than their favorite player.  For the fourth season in a row, the weekly FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are a win for the local community.  Along with the award, FedEx will donate $5,000 every week to the local children's hospital in each winning market.  The children's hospitals in the two season-long winner's markets, announced at this year's Super Bowl, will be awarded $25,000 each.  That means that FedEx will deliver nearly $250,000 to local children's hospitals around the country in recognition of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Award winners.  

A closer look at the FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists:

--St. Louis's MARC BULGER passed for 302 yards completing 27 of 33 of his passes and threw two touchdowns in the Rams' 37 - 29 win over the New Orleans Saints.  Bulger lead a Rams offense that gained 409 yards and controlled the ball for nearly 40 minutes.

--Green Bay's BRETT FAVRE threw 351 yards for his sixth 300-yard game of the season.  Favre threw three touchdown passes in the Packers' 34 - 0 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

--Dallas's TONY ROMO completed 20 of 28 of his throws for 247 yards and four touchdowns in the Cowboys' 31 - 20 win over the New York Giants.

A closer look at the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week finalists:

Green Bay's RYAN GRANT picked up 119 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, making him the first running back to pick up 100 yards against the Vikings' second-ranked rush defense all season.

--Philadelphia's BRIAN WESTBROOK rushed for 100 yards over 20 carries and scored one rushing touchdown in the Eagles' 33 - 25 win over the Washington Redskins.  Westbrook also posted two receiving touchdowns and 83 yards totaling 183 yards for the day.

--Denver's SELVIN YOUNG rushed for 109 yards over 20 carries and one touchdown in the Broncos' 27 - 11 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.  Young wasted no time in the second start of his NFL career with a 34-yard run on the Broncos' opening drive to set up Jason Elam's first field goal.

Head coaches SCOTT LINEHAN of the St. Louis Rams, MIKE MC CARTHY of the Green Bay Packers and MIKE SHANAHAN of the Denver Broncos are the nominees for MOTOROLA NFL COACH OF THE WEEK honors for games played November 11 - 12, the NFL announced today.

Fans can vote on NFL.com for the head coach whose game plan played the greatest role in his team's victory.  Voting will take place from Tuesday morning through noon EST on Friday to determine the MOTOROLA NFL COACH OF THE WEEK.  The winner will be announced Friday afternoon on NFL.com.  In January, voting will be held on NFL.com to determine the MOTOROLA NFL COACH OF THE YEAR.

A closer look at the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week nominees:

--St. Louis Rams head coach SCOTT LINEHAN led the Rams to their first victory of the season in their 37 - 29 win over the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome.  The Rams gained 409 total yards and controlled the clock for 39:42.  Rams QB Marc Bulger threw two touchdowns and RB Steven Jackson also contributed by not only running one into the end zone in the first quarter but also passing one to Randy McMichael in the second quarter.  The Rams defense forced two turnovers and limited the Saints to only 43 yards rushing.  They also limited the Saints to only seven points in the first three quarters.

--Green Bay Packers head coach MIKE MC CARTHY coached the Packers to their first whitewash since 2002 over the Minnesota Vikings who endured their first shut out since 1991 by a score of 34 - 0.  Brett Favre passed for 351 yards and three touchdowns to help Green Bay gain 488 total yards.  RB Ryan Grant ran for 119 yards and one touchdown as the Packers controlled the clock for 40:40.  The Green Bay defense limited the NFC North rival Vikings to only 247 total net yards and 11 first downs.  

--Denver Broncos head coach MIKE SHANAHAN coached his Broncos to a 27 - 11 win over AFC West opponent Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium to bring their record to 4 - 5.  The Broncos gained 327 total yards behind the direction of Jay Cutler who threw 192 yards and one touchdown.  Rookie Selvin Young ran for 109 yards and one touchdown.  The Broncos defense sacked the QB four times, forced four turnovers including two interceptions and two forced fumbles and held the Chiefs to 67 rushing yards.
