Titans @ Broncos - Fourth Quarter Open Thread

     @

Date: Monday, November 19, 2007

Time: 6:30 p.m. MST

Teams: Tennessee Titans (6-3, Tied for 2nd in AFC South) at Denver Broncos (4-5, Tied for 2nd in AFC West)

Location: Invesco Field @ Mile High - Denver, CO

Titans Seventh Drive cont....

--The Broncos are beginning to wear down, but lead by three. 27 points won;t win this game for the Broncos.
--Big stop there will force the Titans to kick a field goal. The offense will need to score...
--The field goal is good, the it is a one possession game. BRONCOS 27 - Titans 20

Broncos Eighth Drive --

--Cutler shows he can move around a bit as well. The Titans are going to keep bringing pressure, Cutler needs to handle it.
--Solid catch by Graham, bringing up a second and short.
--Andre Hall shows what he can do!!! TOUCHDOWN BRONCOS!!! Andre Hall....we've been waiting for it and waiting for it, and there it is! BRONCOS 34 - Titans 20

Titans Eighth Drive --

--The only bad thing about a score that fast?? The defense has to come right back on the field...
--Damn, this game has changed 180 degrees again. Titans start from deep in their territory...
--The defense really pumped up now...Smeeling the sweet smell of victory...
--Great tackle by Bailey forces the Titans to punt and the offense will get the ball back, looking to add to the lead...

Broncos Ninth Drive --

--Whatever you do, hold on to the damn ball....NO TURNOVERS!
--I'd like to see the Broncos go for the juggler here, and now Hall is hurt...
--Marshall, trying to do a little too much, nearly blew it big time. As it is, the Broncos have to punt...

Titans Ninth Drive --

--Another personal foul penalty will back the Titans up near their goal line...
--Hamza needs to make the tackle, not go for the fumble...
--John Lynch not in the game....
--That has got to be a sack, and it is...
--Vince Young has definitely been impressive, but a loss is a loss...
--The Broncos will let the Titans nickel and dime their way down the field. Now the going will get tough...
--Dre Bly puts the final nail in the coffin...Vince Young CANNOT play quarterback for 60 minutes...

Broncos Tenth Drive --

--Andre Hall is back to try and run the clock out for the Broncos.
--Hall again, showing he is tough by returning from what looked to me as a stinger...
--Nice stretch by Young should give the Broncos a first down, and it does...
--The play getting sloppy again, but the result should be without a doubt now...
--Nice run by Hall, but the Broncos are forced to punt. Only the Two-minute warning can stop the clock for the Broncos now...

Titans Tenth Drive

--Nice coverage, and the Titans will start inside their 20 again...
--The Broncos have proved tonight that the best defense is a good offense.
--Just when the MNF crew wants to think the Titans are back in it, Young throws another pick and the should just about do it...

Broncos Eleventh Drive --

--Two weeks in a row and Jay Cutler kneel down will end the game in a Broncos victory. Solid job overall, and my thoughts will be upcoming!!!

FINAL SCORE -- DENVER 34 - TENNESSEE 20

Guru - its a 7 point game
But you are right that 27 is not gonna be enough.

What are the odds of a nice 14 minute touchdown drive to end the game :)

HUGE TD!
But I guess, it's not the way the D# wanted it to happen :P

it's hard to complain about long TDs
but there is that downside.  The defense could really use some rest.

Yes
And they give it to theirselves.

Defense was jacked up
Forced three and out. Is the altitude getting to Young?

time for the D to do it again
not sure if it is the altitude or that thigh contusion he took on the TD run.

and highest passer rating
according to the wonderful MNF crew.  Now let's see Cutler put together a string of no turnover games.

Wrong...
It's the 2nd time as far as I think to know it.

depends on if you count the Detroit game
when he got hurt early on.  He did have no interceptions the week before versus GB, but lost a fumble.  One interception and one fumble in the last  3+ games is nice though.

from Matt Mosley's blog
Controversy in Sec. D of Press Box
A group of folks to my right have been shooting video from the first row of the press box. Titans security just shut them down.

Apparently they're from the Trinity Broadcasting Network and were primarily interested in shooting the postgame prayer circle. But for some reason, they've been filming every Broncos offensive series as well.

Touchdown Broncos!

No idea what/if it means but thought I would throw it out there.

That's Mosely....
Trying to be funny....Like most of the time, he fails...miserably.
