Kyle Johnson Returns; Thursday Injury Report
Thanks to mdierk for breaking this...TSG
As I am digesting a fantastic meal at my folk's place in northern New Mexico, I stumbled across this in the Denver Post.....
Kyle Johnson had reason to give thanks.
The former Broncos' fullback was once again a Broncos fullback at practice Thursday morning.
The Broncos' top fullback from 2004-06, Johnson was a surprising final roster cut in September. His return apparently means Mike Bell will be shifting from fullback back to his former tailback spot.
Bell may be needed as a backup to Andre Hall in the game Sunday against the Chicago Bears as Broncos' tailbacks Travis Henry and Selvin Young again missed practice Thursday with knee injuries.
Johnson, who will turn 30 next month, most likely took the roster spot of offensive guard Isaac Snell, who was not at the Broncos' practice Thursday.
I think this is not only a short-term signing, but this could be a way to prepare for Travis Henry's suspension. Mike Bell wasn't getting much time as it was at fullback.

Smith missed the Tenn game with a calf injury
The only thing that annoys me about this is that since we ended up cutting Snell anyway, maybe we could have held on to Greg Eslinger.

We will have
Chicago had better start dusting off its old gametape of the Broncos, or they are going to miss this one for sure...

He was always making
Doesn't seem like Eslinger is a good fit for a smash mouth offense in a smash mouth division. Maybe he will be available through waivers.
