As someone covering the Chiefs everyday, I wouldn't put much stock in the NFL.com report. I haven't heard anything solid in a while.

I heard

they were something like 14 million apart in guarenteed/signing bonus money. This probably just nfl.com trying to keep readers happy.

Biggest shocker

Dealing away Gerard Warren? I can't quite figure this one out. The only thing I can come up with is remembering a quote from last season where Warren talked about how excited he was to be switching to more of an attacking role. He said he had mainly been used to hold up Olinemen the year before and he didn't really like it. He felt he was more of an attacker, trying to penetrate. Obviously, Bates' system is set up for the Dlinemen to occupy blockers , freeing up the LB's. I wonder if, in reality, Gerard initiated this trade.

maybe we can trade for that Reggie Wayne guy. I heard he's an up and comer. Even if we wanted, maybe we could get Marvin Harrison. He's old and washed up. It'd fill our wr needs.
