Walker Likely Out Against Colts

I mentioned a few days ago that I was worried that Javon Walker would not be able to go Sunday against the Colts becuase he was unable to practice on Thursday.  That has been Shanny's track record in the past, you don't practice Thursday, you don't play.  All week the Broncos have said Walker was "OK" and he was "likely to play".  Not anymore...

Adam Schefter is reporting that Walker won't go against the Colts, unable to play after the injury he sustained in the 4th quarter last week.  The Broncos have a lot of money invested in Walker, and while the game with the Colts has some marquee attraction on a weekend void of many top matchups,  there is alot of season left to be played and the #1 goal remains winning the AFC West.

Here is what Schefter had to say....

The Broncos suffered some losses even before they arrived in Indianapolis.

They lost their regular starting guard, Ben Hamilton, for the rest of the season when they placed him on the injured reserve list on Friday. Hamilton suffered a concussion in the early part of training camp, never recovered, and now has been lost for the season.

Denver also lost on another front. It's looking as if wide receiver Javon Walker will be unable to come back from the knee injury he suffered during last week's loss against Jacksonville to play Sunday at Indianapolis. The injury prevented Walker from practicing most of this week and now looks as if it will prevent him from playing as well.

Walker, who recorded 100-yard games in the first two weeks of the season, leads the Broncos in receptions (19) and is second in yards (230). He was held to two receptions for 10 yards in last week's loss to Jacksonville.

In addition to Walker, Broncos safety John Lynch is battling a strained groin he suffered against Jacksonville. Lynch underwent an MRI exam on Monday. Denver coach Mike Shanahan said he would evaluate Lynch on Friday and that the veteran will be a game-time decision.

Some big shakeups for Denver on the eve of a big game versus Indianapolis.

Time to see if 'Baby T.O.' has what it takes to be the feature receiver....

For Baby T.O.
I'm gonna say 10 catches 250 yards and 3 TD's. He'll carry me in my fantasy leagues this week.
Hold on to the freaking ball. IT WON'T BITE.

Who will start instead of Walker? Stokely? Hixon?

This isn't good, but
I expected a lot of two tight sets this week anyways with Indy's pass rush and Scheffler supposedly getting up to speed.
